"For as long as these has been Jones Soda, people have been asking for a Diet Jones.  Our concern was that we didn't want any Jones Soda to have that awful aftertaste that 'comes' with Diet Soda.  So we worked hard to find a new zero-calorie sweetener.  At Jones, we want you to feel good and recycle the bottles.  Trim down with the little guy... create some change."

Review:  

        A sweet, slightly "diet" nose.  Tiny bubbles that burn.  Strong wintergreen lead, and wintergreen follow-through.  It has a full taste, not like a typical diet soda, but it is not a very nice taste.  Not very sweet even in a diet type of way.  Wintergreen aftertaste lingers into a chalky aftertaste that is not very pleasant, perhaps this is the sugar substitute, sucralose.

Ingredients:  Carbonated water, caramel color, sucralose (a nonnutritive sweetener), natural and artificial flavors, phosphoric acid, sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate (as preservatives).  Caffeine free.  12 oz. bottle, 10 mg sodium, 0 g carbohydrates, 0 calories.

Labels:  Jones Soda Co. has the coolest labels in the business -- they win our label contest hands down.  As they say, "send us your photo, if we like it we will put it on our label."  The labels change all the time, there are 24 per month.  The one pictured here is #2382, by Bill Buckles of Elizabethtown, KY.  You can be among the thousands of people from all over the country trying to get their photos on a label -- there were more than 96,000 images up on the Jones Soda label gallery when we recently checked.  What fun!
