'N Bun, 5211 West 10th (just east of Lynhurst), Indianapolis, Indiana •

A drive-in close to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Mug 'N Bun is now in its 43rd year (in 2004). You can sit in your car (flash your lights for service) or sit at a picnic table. Michael Stern recommends the pork tenderloin, but I found this breaded mystery meat less than enticing. The main event is the root beer, served in a frosted mug.
Review
Sweet maple syrup lead, smooth smooth smooth, sparkly bubbles around the edges. Maply syrupy aftertaste, doesn't linger. Not a whole lot of rootiness here, but a deeply satisfying root beer.

Ingredients: They wouldn't tell.
Acquired: At the Drive-In. $1.07 for a frosted mug. You can get gallons of it there, too. I also bought a glass mug with the Mug 'N Bun logo on it for $3.00.
Available: Only at the Drive-In. Worth a visit!
