A pleasant pizza place with homemade root beer -- nice local soda, not distinguished but worth a stop on your way to the ferry.
Review
A rooty nose, with an initial harsh taste that mellows to complex, coffee tones. The high level of carbonation detracts from the smoothness. Something in this dries out your mouth, and it finishes with a wintergreen aftertaste. An interesting ride. It is not sweet at all, to its detriment. It is also caffeinated.

Ingredients: Riley's uses black licorice "and a couple of other secret ingredients I can't recall," according to the helpful counter guy. It does have caffeine.
Available/acquired: Only available at the pizza parlor and brewhaus. $2.50 for a pint.
