I'm not sure what the "locally loved" slogan means, that they are unloved elsewhere?

Review

Very interesting nose, smelled slightly like the paste I used to eat in kindergarten.  Not really wintergreen, but something similar and close.  Big wintergreen lead (like most birch beers) that mellows, or perhaps flattens, into a small bubble mid-range with some rooty tones but also a little pasty taste.  Not quite sure what that is, but I don't think it is successful -- perhaps this is what real birch taste like, as pure birch oil is high in the ingredients.  I wonder if they make that paste from birch?  The aftertaste is a mellow wintergreen, not bad.
