One of the few brews that spells sarsaparilla the way we pronounce it -- "sass-parilla."  

Review

        Sweet medicinal nose.  Cola-like lead, with heavy metal tang of aftertaste in the first sip.  A sweetness that radiates out in the sip, interesting.  The metal taste diminished after the first couple of sips, not sure what that was about, and the aftertaste after that was quite pleasant, so I didnt mark it way down for that initial icky hit.  Real cola flavor, not uninteresting but I would have liked a more rooty ride.  Honey-like flavors emerge at the end of the cola taste, nice.  The carbonation builds on the tongue, doesn't intrude on the smoothness.  Good burps.

Ingredients:  carbonated water, fructose, natural flavor, caramel color, citric acid and sodium benzoate.  12 oz. bottle, 180 calories, 35 mg sodium, 44 g carbohydrates, 44 g from sugars.
