From the bottle
The era of soda poppery began in the early 1900s. Early soft drinks, or tonics as they were called, were available in a wide variety of flavors. Sassafras root bark created the classic American flavor we have come to know as Root Beer. Americana Cream Style is produced in true micro fashion, only 600 gallons at a time. Our extracts are carefully blended with pure cane sugar to produce a rich creamy flavor made in the tradition of those old times sodas.
Review
Fruity, sweet nose. Very complex, rooty taste, a nice full-bodied root beer. The taste moves through a honey-like phase (the vanilla, perhaps, as there isn't honey in this beer), to a spicy phase with licorice flourishes, to a wintergreen finish that is pleasant. It left my tongue a little dry at the end of this journey, but it was worth the trip nevertheless. I could go on drinking this root beer all day. Not overly carbonated, enough for a fizz, and good smoothness. Quite a tasty brew!
