Root Beer
Steelhead Brewing Co., Eugene, Oregon
(also Burlingame and Irvine, California)
My understanding is that this is the same stuff as Bulldog root beer, it tastes very similar except this bottle had slightly more wintergreen highlights than I remember Bulldog as having. An outstanding brew, just list its cousin. It came out with the same overall score as Bulldog, though got better score for aftertaste and worse score for carbonation... Hmmm.
Review:
Mmmm. Honey nose, sweet honey lead with spritzes of little bubbles. A wonderful brew. Full-bodied, thick and creamy, with a drying hint of wintergreen aftertaste. Later sips give a malty mid-range, with vanilla tones and the ever-present honey thing.
