Il Vicino
Root Beer
Pizzeria:
3403 Central Ave, NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico
505-266-7855
Another ABQ micro-brew, available also at Il Vicino's nice pizza restaurant. Brewed by Doug Cochran and Brady McKeown.
Review
No head to speak of. Very herby ("I like that!" says Nancy), but with tiny bubble burn. Wintergreen highlights in sweet wind-down into slightly oversweet aftertaste with a bubble-gummy finish. This brew has matured since the aggressively herby brew I first tried it in 2003, but they still have to work a little on the sweetness thing. "Complex, rich and spicy," according to Nancy.
