Alameda Brewing Company
Root Beer
4765 NE Fremont, Portland, Oregon 97213

This local brew pub has many actual beers on tap, and also makes a root beer. "Brewed in-house using Birch, Sarsaparilla and Honey," according to the menu.
Review
Very birchy nose, quite effervescent. Big bubbly lead, dropping into a softer midrange and birchy finish. The tiny bubble carbonation burned the roof of my mouth, it was a little too aggressive. The birch predominates here, I would have like to taste a little more of the honey coming through.
