"Reformulated with Pure Cane Sugar"
Whole Foods Market, Austin, Texas 78703
This is the house brand for Whole Foods Markets, the high-end organic food sensation sweeping the nation and its pocketbooks. From the can: "We've reformulated our 365 sodas to eliminate the high fructose corn syrup, a potential source of GMOs. Pure cane sugar, an ingredient that has never been genetically modified, has replaced the corn syrup. Enjoy!"
Review:
Burnt sugar nose. Smooth lead with slight herbiness and major burnt sugar mid-range. Not unpleasant, but finishes with a cloying sweetness that is unbecoming. The aftertaste is kind of sugary, it lingers. Perhaps this is the cane sugar effect? Not much to work with here, this is not a great root beer.
