The Chief
The Chief Drive-In, U.S. Highway 1, Laytonville, California

According to the sign, "The Chief" was "Carved with an axe in 1939 by Ambrose Gruenke. The statue was originally at the Mad Creek Inn (then called Tan Oak Park) 12 miles north of Laytonville. It was moved to this location in 1978."
